Why you have to ditch your tablecloth

If you read this blog, you’ll know I have an unhealthy obsession with my table. It’s an old farmhouse door that was removed and mounted on four very sturdy legs. It’s huge and covered in nicks and cracks and it’s the most beautiful piece of furniture I own.

So on the rare occasion that I host a dinner party, I’m always loathe to cover it with a tablecloth. In the past, I’ve been mortified by the idea of serving guests on a bare table, but then I found these gorgeous snaps and, honestly, I’m sold! Just in time for the holidays too!

Even if you don’t have a gorgeous wood table, you can still ditch the tablecloth. With beautiful runners or placemats, you can still get that styled look, but without all the fuss. Plus, you don’t have to worry about scrubbing stains out for weeks after your party. So leave the white tablecloth to the restaurants and choose a modern, rustic and minimalist look these holidays!

What do you think? Is it taboo to have a dinner party without a tablecloth?
